Firstly, we would like to apologise sincerely for the delay in replying to your letter of mei 21th. This was due to the technical inspection which was necessary before we could give you a satisfactory answer.
As soon as we learnt of the problem with the vehicle, we arranged for it to be collected by the main agent for dublin and asked then for a detailed report. They found that the offside rear wheel-bearing had gone, and due to the Netbook having been warehouse in this condition, the differential gear was badly worn and needed replacing. The total cost of this was $140. If you had taken the Netbook off the place at the first sign of trouble, it would only have cost us $158. Therefore, the fact that you continued to warehouse the Netbook has cost us an additional $173. In te normal way, we would have been obliged to debit you with this excess repair bill. However, in view of the inconvenience you suffered, we are prepared to waive our claim on you.
We sympathise with you and deeply regret the difficulties you experienced. However, we regret that in no way can be held responsible for any cost you incurred. We would ask you to refer clause 19 of the hire agreement. We hope that now you know the full facts of the case you will withdraw your claim and accept our solution.

Netbook Acer 7380 – Mei 13th – 18th
I am writing to complaint about the Netbook I hired from you on the above dates. When I left your Netbook at warehouse electronic city, there was no one at the depot so. I could not explain the events of the previous two days.
On Sunday 13th Mei, I collected a Netbook from your depot at the warehouse electronic city. A few hours later, the Netbook overheated and had to be replaced. The next day, the transmission became very noisy. After repeated unsuccessful attempts to contact you, I had to ask a local garage to inspect it. I enclose the garage’s invoice for $218.
On the Wednesday, I telephoned you and was asked to take the Netbook to your agent in crok. The Netbook was checked and I was assured that it was roadworthy. However, the next day the Netbook pulled violently to the right, narrowly missing a stone wall. I could not see anything wrong so I continued carefully to garage in Limerick. I telephoned your office for advice, but all i could get was the answer-phone. I left details, asking you to phone me back.
Having headr nothing by 7 p.m, I asked the garage to repair the Netbook so that I could get back to dublin. They did so, I enclose the garage bill $190.
I returned the Netbook as arranged on Friday at 7 p.m. but your office was already closed and I saw no one.
I am sure you will appreciate the annoyance and frustration of the past week during which I know I have lost substantial busisness. I look forward to receiving your comments and to receiving your cheque for $196 in settlement for the two repair bills.

1. Promoting the Good e-Teacher: Didactical Choices when developing e-pedagogical Competences
The European project VIRCLASS (The Virtual Classroom for Social Work in Europe) has developed and carried out e-learning courses for BA students in Social Work all over Europe since 2005 (Larsen & Hole, 2007a). In VIRCLASS the partners have developed competence-based curricular plans for two modules in Social Work with a comparative perspective, credited 5/10 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). In October 2009, the fifth cohort of students began Module 1, and altogether 326 students and 13 teachers have been involved in these courses. In 2008 the VIRCLASS Consortium, with new partners, received a grant from the Lifelong Learning Programme – Virtual Campus to develop a Social Work Virtual Campus (SW-VirCampi). The overall aim is to make an international specialization within Social Work at the BA level. One way of achieving this goal has been to initiate a new e-learning module, Community Work from an International Perspective, credited with 15 ECTS credits, with new learning material, a quality guide and a new framework agreement for a sustainable Virtual Campus.
An analysis of the experiences of those working with e-learning courses shows a need for increasing the e-teacher competences among the staff at the partner institutions. Accordingly, an international course in e-pedagogy for teachers in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) was developed with a grant from Norway Opening Universities.

Inflasi Global Kerek Emas Hitam Menuju USD92/Barel
JAKARTA - Harga minyak mentah di pasar Asia siang ini merangkak naik mendekati USD92 per barel saat para pedagang tengah memperhatikan pergerakan komoditas ini sebelum ancaman inflasi global kembali menghantui perlambatan permintaan dan pemulihan ekonomi global.

Sebagaimana dikutip dari Associated Press (AP), Senin (3/1/2010), harga minyak mentah untuk pengiriman Februari naik 30 sen ke level USD91,68 per barel pada perdagangan elektronik di New York Merchantile Exchange (Nymex) siang ini waktu Asia.

Sepanjang 2010, harga minyak sebenarnya masih lebih banyak berkutat di level USD70 per barel sebelumnya melonjak hingga USD92 per barel pada Desember lalu setelah adanya tanda-tanda pemulihan minyak mentah dari negara emerging sepertin China. Di 2010, harga minyak rata-rata mencapai USD79,72 per barel.

Sejumlah pedagang komoditas ini dalam beberapa tahun terakhir semakin memberikan perhatian dalam kontrak berjangka sebagai perlindungan terhadap inflasi dan pelemahan dolar. Namun, dengan harga minyak mentah yang semakin tinggi sendiri justru menjadi ancaman untuk mempercepat inflasi.

"Investor menggunakan minyak atau komoditas berjangka lainnya sebagai opsi untuk lindung nilai terhadap inflasi, pelemahan dolar, dan pemulihan ekonomi," kata laporan Cameron Hanover.

Pada perdagangan Nymex lainnya di kontrak Februari, minyak pemanas naik 1,0 sen menjadi USD2,55 per galon, sementara bensin berjangka naik 0,5 sen menjadi USD2,44 per galon. Sementara gas alam berjangka untuk Februari melonjak 11.3 sen menjadi USD4,52 per 1.000 kaki kubik. Di London, minyak mentah Brent semakin meroket dengan naik USD1,99 menjadi USD5,08 per barel di

Jam Perdagangan Ditambah, BEI Harap Likuiditas Naik
JAKARTA - Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) harapkan bisa tambah likuiditas perdagangan dengan majunya jam perdagangan di BEI.

"Dengan adanya rencana kita untuk memajukkan jam pedagangan,diharapkan akan menambah likuiditas perdagangan,"ungkap Direktur Perdagangan dan Anggota Bursa BEI Wan Wei yong di Jakarta, Senin (03/01/2011).

Wei Yong, juga menambahkan yang berubah adalah jam awal saja,jam perdagangan berlangsung dari pukul 09.30-12.00 WIB dengan jumlah total perdagangan sebanyak 2,5 jam begitupun dengan siang.

Terkait apakah jam perdagangan menjadi lebih awal setengah jam atau satu jam,Wan Wei Yong sendiri masih belum memastikan,karena masih harus dikaji lebih dalam tentang wacana ini.

"Terkait masalah ini,kita sudah menyampaikan kepada Bappepam-LK,dan sejauh ini responnya positif,"pungkasnya.(wdi)

Harga Minyak Sentuh Angka Tertinggi
NEW YORK - Harga minyak mencapai harga tertinggi selama 26 bulan terakhir
yaitu sekira USD92 perbarel pada hari Jumat. Angka tersbut tumbuh 15 persen bila
dibanding tahun sebelumnya.

Tahun depan diharapkan pertumbuhan bisa mencapai tiga digit seiring dengan perkembangan ekonomi global yang terus membaik. Pertumbuhan tertinggi terjadi di Asia, khususnya China.

Sehingga permintaan melambung yang memicu pergerakan harga minyak pada level sekira USD70-USD80 selama empat bulan. Selama tahun ini, minyak mentah AS mengalami lonjakan tertinggi yaitu sekira USD1,54 per barel hingga USD91,38 perbarel, setelah menyentuh harga tertinggi USD92,06.

Harga tersebut mengalmi lonjakan tertinggi dibandingkan tahun lalu.

Sementara di Bursa London Brent berada pada level USD1,66. menetap USD94,75 per barel yang berarti naik sekira 22 persen pada tahun ini. Dan total produksinya terkerek menjadi USD 2,2 juta barel per hari.

Sebagaimana yang dikutip dari Reuters, pada hari Sabtu (01/01/2011), peningkatan pernah terjadi di tahun 2004 yang biaya produksinya melebihi tahun ini. Tahun depan diperkirakan outputnya akan terus bertambah sebanyak 1,5 barel per hari di tahun depan.

Sementara itu, banyak ahli megatakan harga minyak bisa memecahkan USD100 per barel pada tahun depan. Namun mereka berharap harga minyak tahun depan bisa stabil atau terkontrol dan tiak berada pada level USD150 seperti tahun 2008 lalu.

Organisasi pengekspor minyak harus mengambil langkah untuk mendinginkan pasar. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengamankan kondisi ekonomi global terhadap kenaikan harga minyak.

"Saya harapkan OPEC bisa meningkatkan produksi, baik melalui kargo ekstra agar
harga minyak bisa stabil dan tidak melonjak tinggi sehingga pasar aman dan bisa
terkendali," ungkap analis citi Futures Perspective, seperti yang dikutip dari
Reuters, Sabtu(01/01/2011).

Sekedar informasi, harga minyak mentah AS rata-rata berada pada posisi USD79,61. dan para analisis mencemaskan cuaca ekstrem, musim dingin (salju) sehingga hal tersbut dapat mengganggu produki minyak di sejumlah kawasan, khususnya di Eropa dan Amerika.(ahm)
Draft Peraturan Revisi MKBD Terancam Mundur?
JAKARTA - Rencana Badan Pengawas Pasar Modal dan Lembaga Keuangan (Bapepam-LK) untuk segera mengesahkan revisi draf Peraturan No V.D.5 tentang Pemeliharaan dan Pelaporan Modal Kerja Bersih Disesuaikan (MKBD) terancam kembali tertunda.

Hal ini karena masih belum adanya titik temu antara Bapepam dengan Anggota Bursa (AB) terkait beberapa butir aturan MKBD. Padahal rencananya Bapepam akan segera mengesahkan draft revisi peraturan tersebut di bulan ini.

"Kelihatannya, AB masih belum sepakat mengenai perlakuan portofolio saldo debit perusahaan efek sama persentase nilai komitmen penjaminan emisi (underwriter), yang nantinya diwajibkan masuk ke dalam ranking liabilities," ujar Direktur Perdagangan dan Pengaturan Anggota Bursa BEI Wan Wei Yiong saat ditemui wartawan di Gedung BEI, Jakarta, Kamis (26/8/2010).

Menurutnya sebenarnya peraturan ini sudah cukup lama disiapkan. Dan jika tidak ada krisis subprime mortgage, dari 2008 sudah dijalankan. Tetapi karena ada krisis tertunda dulu. Namun jika dilihat draf-nya tidak banyak yang berubah dari tahun 2008.

"Yang jadi pertanyaan kemudian banyak AB yang modalnya sudah tipis dari batas minimum. Waktu Juli itu juga disampaikan simulasi dengan perhitungan MKBD yang saat ini berlaku dengan MKBD yang baru. MKBD yang sekarang semata-mata patokannya Rp25 miliar. Ke depannya dengan formula baru patokannya pertama modal kerja AB minimal Rp25 miliar dan kedua harus memiliki rangking liabilities sebesar 6,25 persen yang kedua ini yang masih belum menemukan titik temu," jelasnya.

Akan tetapi, lanjutnya, dalam draf revisi tersebut juga mengatur tentang peraturan haircut yang lebih baik dan lebih resiprokal. Peraturan tersebut nantinya akan dibuat suatu komite haircut dengan KPEI yang bertindak sebagai koordinatornya yang mengatur tentang daftar lead hari cut.

"Nanti akan dibuat suatu komite haircut. KPEI koordinatornya. Jadi kalo BEI tiap bulan mengeluarkan daftar lead marjin, maka tiap bulan juga akan keluar daftar lead haircut. Setiap saham haircut-nya berbeda-beda. Termasuk efek-efek yang bersifat utang dan obligasi," pungkasnya.

Sekadar mengingatkan, Badan Bapepam-LK akan segera mengesahkan revisi draf Peraturan No V.D.5 tentang MKBD pada Agustus ini. MKBD yang baru menyebutkan jika modal kerja AB minimal Rp 25 miliar atau memiliki rangking liabilities sebesar 6,25 persen. Rangking liabilities inilah yang sedikit memberatkan AB.

Sebelumnya, Ketua Asosiasi Perusahaan Efek Indonesia (APEI) Lili Widjaja mengatakan, butir lain yang dianggap membebani AB adalah persentase nilai komitmen penjaminan emisi (underwriter), yang nantinya diwajibkan masuk ke dalam ranking liabilities. Ketentuan ini dinilai membuat MKBD broker turun drastis.

"Sebab jika nilai penjaminannya besar tentu akan sangat berpengaruh sekali terhadap kelangsungan MKBD mereka," katanya.

Kedua butir aturan itu dinilai tidak sehat dan dapat mengancam kelangsungan usaha AB. Oleh karenanya, Bapepam-LK diminta untuk tanggap dan melakukan revisi terhadap pasal-pasal yang merugikan pelaku pasar.

Nurhaida menjelaskan, hasil sosialisasi sudah mulai dipahami kalangan broker. "Secara substansi mereka (perusahaan efek) tidak ada yang keberatan ya," katanya.

Dia mengatakan, keberatan hanya dari perhitungan baru dan data yang tidak bisa cepat diperoleh untuk menyesuaikan MKBD pada hari berikutnya.(ade)

Harga Minyak Menuju Rekor Tertinggi

DUBAI, KOMPAS.com — Permintaan minyak dunia melonjak dua kali lipat melampaui suplai yang tersedia. Data Departemen Energi AS menunjukkan, pengguna minyak dunia akan naik 1,7 persen menembus rekor menjadi 87,8 juta barrel per hari. Sementara tingkat produksi minyak hanya naik sebesar 0,9 persen.
Berdasarkan pertimbangan tersebut, proyektor minyak paling akurat di 2010 Sanford Bernstein & Co kembali memprediksi adanya kenaikan harga emas hitam menembus level tertinggi di 2011.
Menurut analis Bernstein, rata-rata kontrak harga minyak akan menembus level 90 dollar AS per barrel. Sementara itu, Natixis Bleichroeder Inc, yang juga memiliki keterkaitan dengan Bernstein, melihat, harga minyak akan menyentuh posisi 100 dollar AS per barrel, atau 26 persen lebih tinggi dari posisi 2010.
"Kami memprediksi OPEC akan menaikkan tingkat produksinya sehingga mengurangi kapasitas cadangan minyak yang sangat memengaruhi pergerakan harga," ujar Oswald Clint, Bernstein Head Oil Analyst di London.
Sementara itu, berdasarkan nilai tengah 34 analis yang disurvei Bloomberg, harga minyak di NYMEX akan berada di posisi 87 dollar AS per barrel di 2011. Ini merupakan level tertinggi sejak ditembusnya rekor pada posisi 99,75 dollar AS yang dicapai tahun 2008 dan 40 persen lebih tinggi ketimbang harga rata-rata harga minyak di 2009 di posisi 62,09 dollar AS .
